Mayr-Melnhof Packaging has joined CPGmarket.com, the first European electronic B2B marketplace for the Consumer Packaged Goods ("CPG") industry. As a partner of CPGmarket.com, MMP will contribute packaging know-how and closely cooperate in the development of eTransaction and eSupply Chain.

This partnership is a consistent continuation of MMP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) and eCommerce strategy within its partner- ship programs with international customers of the Branded Goods industry. The objective is to develop communication standards which should lead to a reduction in transaction costs as well as an optimization of business processes within the European supply chain.

CPGmarket.com was founded in spring 2000 by Danone, Henkel, Nestlé and SAP, in order to provide producers and suppliers of the European Branded Goods industry with efficient procurement and SCM solutions for optimizing the value-added chain.
